(vov.gov.vn) - During the peak of winter, many people flock to the gardens in Moc Chau, Son La to admire the persimmon trees laden with fruit, creating a romantic scene reminiscent of gardens in fairy tales.

Moc Chau, Son La, is a popular tourist destination thanks to its cool, mild climate and year-round abundance of flowers and fruits. In the final days of the year, Moc Chau seems to don a new coat of warm orange and yellow hues from clusters of roses hanging from the branches.

The persimmon season lasts from September to the end of February the following year. The best time is in November.

There are two types of persimmons in Moc Chau: crunchy and astringent. When astringent persimmons ripen, around November-December, the trees shed all their leaves, leaving only branches and ripe fruit, which looks very unusual.

Persimmon trees begin bearing fruit in April, and after 4-5 months of care, they are ready for harvest. At this time, the persimmons are yellow-orange, not yet fully ripe red, but already crisp and sweet. Customers can buy them to eat fresh or let them turn orange-red to make dried persimmons, which are also very delicious.

The branches laden with ripe yellow and red persimmons create an ideal backdrop for photos, attracting tourists to Moc Chau in the last months of the year.

Along the road from Nong Truong town to Tan Lap commune, there are many persimmon orchards laden with fruit, attracting tourists to visit and take photos in the Ban On and Pa Khen sub-districts. Currently, the entrance fee to the persimmon orchards ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 VND per person, and the price for picked fruit is calculated separately by weight. However, some orchards do not charge an entrance fee, only charging for the persimmons purchased by the customer.

The unique beauty of the Northwest mountains and forests attracts many tourists who visit and capture memorable moments.

"The persimmon season is at its most beautiful right now, so my friends and I drove up to this area to visit. Admiring the beauty of the ripe persimmons in Moc Chau, seeing the ripe red persimmons on the trees, I feel so peaceful, forgetting all the worries of reality," shared Ms. Mai Trang from Hanoi.

"The rose garden is very large and picturesque. Besides the word 'beautiful,' I don't know how else to fully express my feelings," said Diep Chi (from Son La).
