After the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake, nearly 3,000 workers of Phu Yen Shoe Factory returned to work. The atmosphere was bustling with competitive spirit in production, with workers rushing to their shifts to meet early spring orders and ensure the completion of signed orders for the entire year of 2025. Ms. Dinh Thi Bac, a worker in sewing team 1, shared: "Working as a factory worker provides a stable income, the job suits my health and abilities, and the factory pays insurance and I receive all the benefits of an employee. Everyone is striving to increase productivity in the new year."
Mr. Bui Manh Dung, Director of the factory, happily stated: "To ensure good preparation for production, before Tet (Lunar New Year), the unit imported nearly 900 tons of raw materials. From the 6th day of Tet, the unit mobilized workers to clean the factory, start up machinery, and officially produce the first batches of goods for the market. In the first days of the new year, the unit's leaders visited each workshop and production department to encourage workers, and at the same time, launched a competition to 'Improve productivity and product quality' with the goal of achieving a capacity of 3,000-4,000 pairs of shoes per day and night."
In Mai Son district, the atmosphere of labor competition at the beginning of the year was vibrant in the factories. At the Son La Sugar Mill, from the morning of February 2nd (the 5th day of Tet), dozens of trucks loaded with sugarcane lined up waiting to enter the factory. On the conveyor belt, sugarcane was continuously fed into the presses, creating a bustling production atmosphere.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, Director of Son La Sugar Mill, shared: To ensure raw materials for processing, the unit has contracted and collaborated with more than 10,000 farming households in Mai Son, Yen Chau, Bac Yen districts and Son La City, stabilizing the raw material area on over 9,260 hectares of sugarcane, with an estimated production of 600,000 tons/year. Last year, the mill continued to invest in maintaining and upgrading production lines to meet production and environmental protection requirements. In the early days of the new year, the production lines operated at full capacity; workers actively worked to ensure the sugarcane harvest was completed on schedule with a capacity of 5,000 tons of raw sugarcane per day. Thanks to the thoughtful and comprehensive care for employees before Tet, 100% of the workforce returned to work after the Lunar New Year holiday; the mill's departments are striving to achieve the production targets set for the new year.

On the 6th day of the Lunar New Year, at the Mai Son Cement Plant, a subsidiary of Mai Son Cement Joint Stock Company, all departments and production lines resumed operation, with many trucks loading cement in preparation for distribution. With a designed capacity of 1 million tons per year, the plant focuses on investing in and installing advanced production lines, featuring automated control systems for the clinker kiln, heat exchange tower, kiln feed, and cement production workshop. In 2024, total cement sales reached nearly 600,000 tons; total revenue exceeded 550 billion VND, providing stable employment for nearly 100 workers with an average income of nearly 9 million VND per person.
Mr. Quach Huu Toan, Deputy Director of the company, shared: After a rather long Tet holiday, workers entered the production shift with an eager mindset to return to work and earn more income. In 2025, the company will continue to ensure production and business operations while protecting the environment; strive to produce 700,000 tons of cement; and continuously improve product quality to better meet customer needs.
Currently, the province has over 3,667 registered businesses operating in production and trade, employing over 50,000 workers. In recent times, these businesses have successfully met five requirements: maintaining production and contributing to economic growth; ensuring employee income; preserving business capital; paying taxes to the state budget; and actively participating in social welfare policies.

From the very beginning of the new year, businesses in the province have proactively developed plans, clearly defining goals and production and business strategies, and accelerating implementation. They have paid particular attention to investing in technology, diversifying supply sources, and expanding consumer markets. Most businesses expect 2025 to be a breakthrough year, achieving many successes, contributing more to the province's development, and improving the quality of life for their employees.
The enthusiastic work ethic and thorough preparation of businesses promise a year of successful completion of production and business plans, contributing to the province's overall achievement of socio-economic goals.
