During the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake 2025, tourist areas and attractions in Son La province welcomed over 250,000 visitors for sightseeing, experiences, and relaxation, an increase of over 150% compared to the same period in 2024.
This included nearly 850 international visitors, over 249,000 domestic tourists, and more than 72,700 overnight stays; the occupancy rate of rooms at tourist accommodation establishments reached 74%. Revenue from tourism activities reached 295 billion VND, an increase of 173% compared to the same period in 2024. Moc Chau town alone welcomed over 105,000 tourists; revenue from tourism activities reached over 136 billion VND.
