During the Lunar New Year holiday, tourist areas and attractions in Son La province welcomed over 250,000 visitors for sightseeing, experiences, and relaxation, a 150% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This included nearly 850 international visitors and over 249,000 domestic tourists; the occupancy rate at tourist accommodation establishments reached 74%.

Son La's tourism revenue during the Tet holiday reached 295 billion VND, a 173% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Moc Chau town alone welcomed over 105,000 tourists, generating over 136 billion VND in tourism revenue.

Visiting Son La during this time, tourists can experience many unique cultural, artistic, sporting, and festival activities such as: the Spring Festival dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh in Son La city; the 2025 Tet market program in Van Ho district; the 2025 traditional hair-washing festival in Quynh Nhai district…

Many tourist areas and attractions are welcoming large numbers of visitors, such as: Moc Chau Island tourist area, Happy Land Moc Chau, Ban Ang pine forest, Na Ka plum valley, Mu Nau (Moc Chau town); Quynh Nhai lake; Ta Xua "cloud hunting" in Bac Yen district… At each destination, tourists can immerse themselves in the New Year's atmosphere rich in the cultural identity of the ethnic minorities in the mountainous region of Son La.

Mr. Dinh Hong Phuc, Deputy Director of Pha Luong Tourism Joint Stock Company, Moc Chau town, Son La province, shared: "With the spirit of sustainable and responsible tourism, we focus on natural ecological landscapes, and also promote the development of local culture, offering tourists the experience of folk games of the Thai and Mong ethnic groups and the unique cultural features of the ethnic minorities in Moc Chau."

In addition, historical sites and cultural-spiritual tourist destinations also meet the needs of spring travel at the beginning of the year, such as the Son La Prison National Special Monument, the Que Lam Ngu Che Stele Historical Site - Temple of King Le Thai Tong (Son La City); Nang Han Temple and Linh Son Thuy Tu (Quynh Nhai district)...
