On February 6th, the Organizing Committee of the 7th Provincial Youth and Children's Innovation Competition 2025 held a meeting to approve draft plans for the organization of the competition, decisions on the regulations, the establishment of the competition's secretariat, and the assignment of tasks to the organizing committee members.

The Son La Provincial Youth and Children's Innovation Competition is held every two years. Participants are young people and children throughout the province aged 6 to 18. Contestants compete in five categories: school supplies; computer software; environmentally friendly products, household appliances and children's toys; and technical solutions to address climate change, protect the environment, and promote economic development.
The head of the Department of Education and Training spoke at the meeting.
The deadline for submitting entries is expected to be from May 2025 to June 30, 2025. Judging and selection of models and products for the 21st national competition will take place in July 2025. The awards ceremony will be held in November 2025.
