In 1975, implementing the policy of the Party and the State, the people of Nai Tu village, Hong Ha commune, Dan Phuong district, Ha Tay province (old) moved to the new economic zone in Chieng Khuong commune, Song Ma district, Son La province. The worship objects in the temple of Hai Ba Trung from Tan Tien village, Hong Ha commune, Dan Phuong district, Ha Tay province were then moved by the people to build the temple of Hai Ba Trung in Thong Nhat village, Chieng Khuong commune. On November 11, 2011, Hai Ba Trung temple was ranked as a provincial historical relic by the People's Committee of Son La province.

The temple still preserves the original temple's worshiping objects relatively intact, including 50 artifacts made of various materials: wood, bronze, ceramic, porcelain, paper. These artifacts date from about the 16th to the 19th century. To preserve and promote historical and cultural values, the temple has been restored and embellished with an area of ​​522m2.².

The Hai Ba Trung Temple Festival 2025 has 2 parts (ceremony and festival): In the ceremony part, the water procession takes place, with the following groups: Hai Ba Trung palanquin procession; Choe procession, flag-holding group leading the way; drum team; gong team; Xinh Tien dance team; Thai dance team; halberd team... carrying water from the Ma River to Hai Ba Trung Temple. At the Ma River, the shaman lights incense, scoops water into jars, then the forces carry the water to Hai Ba Trung Temple.

After the water procession to the Temple, there is a welcoming art program with special performances: a drum performance, singing and dancing with themes celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring, praising the love for the homeland and country; Taekwondo martial arts performance and lion and dragon dance; drum beating to open the festival; performing the flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate the great merits of Hai Ba Trung; reporting on the outstanding achievements of Song Ma district in the recent past.

During the festival, athletes and people from the communes participated in traditional games such as wrestling, tug of war, chess, rice cooking competition, throwing balls, and blindfolded duck catching, attracting a large number of people and tourists to experience and visit.

The Hai Ba Trung Temple Incense Offering Festival is held to educate the tradition of patriotism, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source". At the same time, it promotes and publicizes the value of the relic, creates a highlight, and turns the relic into an attractive spiritual and cultural tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors.
