According to the report of the People's Committee of Son La city, Son La province, from 2020 to now, the city has upgraded 55 school buildings, with a total investment of nearly 330 billion VND. In 2024 alone, the city will invest in 2 equipment procurement packages; 23 projects to repair and build new schools, classrooms and other auxiliary works with a total cost of 126 billion VND.

Up to now, the city has 41/43 schools meeting national standards, reaching more than 92%, an increase of 9% compared to 2020, of which level 2 standards reached more than 53%.

Ms. Quang Thi Song, Principal of Chieng Den Kindergarten, shared: Previously, the school had 2 central classrooms and 3 satellite schools. At these schools, the facilities and equipment were still lacking and did not meet the teaching conditions according to kindergarten standards.
According to Ms. Song, stemming from those difficulties, in March 2024, the school received attention from the city to invest in building 2 new 2-storey classrooms with 14 classrooms; along with many auxiliary works and teaching equipment with a total value of over 20 billion VND.

"After 6 months of construction, the project was handed over and put into use in time for the opening of the new school year 2024 - 2025. We have combined students from 2 central locations, a total of 300 students, to the new location. With a new school and classrooms with modern equipment, toys, and supplies, teachers and students are very excited and confident in teaching and learning," said Ms. Song.
