In the early days of the new year, the Gia Han strawberry garden of Ms. Nguyen Thi My's family in Bo Bun residential area, Binh Minh ward, is always bustling with visitors. The strawberries, in their peak ripening season, are large, juicy, and bright red, attracting many tourists to experience picking and enjoying them. To ensure delicious, clean, and safe strawberries, the entire strawberry crop of Ms. My's family is grown according to VietGAP standards in greenhouses and net houses, using drip irrigation and automated fertilization methods.
Ms. Nguyen Thi My said: "Our family grows 1.5 hectares of strawberries. In the last two years, recognizing the demand, we've opened our farm to tourists so they can experience picking strawberries in the garden. Visitors don't have to buy tickets; they can pick as many as they want, and the price is calculated based on market value. In addition, visitors can enjoy processed products made from strawberries. The busiest days are weekends, with over 800 visitors on some days, helping our family sell about 80% of our strawberry produce to tourists who come to experience the farm."
