Attending the departure ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Mai Son District People's Committee and representatives of Vietnam Airlines.

Son La province has advantages in climate and land with a total strawberry growing area in 2024 - 2025 reaching over 700 hectares; expected output of 9,300 tons, mainly in Mai Son, Moc Chau, Yen Chau districts. Of which, Mai Son district has a strawberry growing area of over 550 hectares; harvested output is 7,500 tons. Strawberries are grown in roof houses, hydroponic systems, covered with nylon on the bed surface, water and fertilizer are supplied through drip and splash irrigation systems. Son La strawberry products are being registered for protection, building and implementing a certification trademark management system. The Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism of Son La province in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mai Son District People's Committee surveyed, evaluated the quality and selected Xuan Que Strawberry Cooperative and ICHI FAM Strawberry Cooperative, Co Noi Commune, Mai Son District to introduce, promote and supply on Vietnam Airlines flights.

The launch ceremony of bringing Son La strawberries on Vietnam Airlines flights is an important and practical event in strengthening the coordination between Son La province and Vietnam Airlines Corporation, promoting communication, advertising, and promoting Son La province's agricultural products to be known to more and more customers through many consumption channels, enhancing the brand and value of strawberries.

At the departure ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that in the coming time, the Son La Provincial People's Committee will continue to assign the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to coordinate with Vietnam Airlines Corporation to provide information and images of destinations, tourism events, diplomatic, cultural, investment and annual trade promotion activities of the province to support promotion on Vietnam Airlines publications, thereby introducing typical tourism products, festival events, OCOP products, and safe agricultural products of Son La province. At the same time, the fact that Son La strawberry products become meals for passengers on each flight is an opportunity to continue affirming the quality and brand of the province's agricultural products and also an opportunity to promote Son La agricultural products in particular and Vietnamese agricultural products in general to international friends, contributing to enhancing the brand and value of typical local agricultural products.
