(baosonla.vn) - On the morning of February 15th, the 2025 military conscription ceremony was simultaneously held in Son La city, Moc Chau town, and districts throughout Son La province.
Attending the ceremonies in various localities were leaders from the Ministry of National Defense, the Command of Military Region 2, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, and localities, and a large number of people in the province. In 2025, Son La province will have more than 1,800 citizens enlisting to fulfill their military and public security obligations. The quality of recruits in 2025 will be higher than in 2024 in all three criteria: Health categories 1 and 2 increased by 1.2%; education: high school level increased by 1.3%; college and university level increased by 0.6%; 3 Party members enlisted in the army; and 744 citizens throughout the province submitted applications to volunteer for military service.

The recruitment process was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations. The new recruits meet the standards in terms of political qualities, educational level, and health, and are eligible to join the armed forces and defend the Fatherland.

The recruitment process was carried out seriously, strictly, and in accordance with regulations; 100% of the enlisted citizens met the health requirements and had at least a secondary school education; of which, 21 citizens had graduated from vocational schools, colleges, or universities; 110 citizens had completed the Party awareness program; 99% of the new recruits were Youth Union members, and 1 new recruit was a Party member. 59 citizens volunteered for military service. The units receiving the recruits were the 316th Division (Military Region 2), the 754th Regiment (Son La Provincial Military Command), the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command, and the Son La Provincial Public Security Department.
To encourage the new recruits, the Party committees, government, mass organizations, and communes/wards of the city presented gifts totaling over 760 million VND, encouraging the recruits to feel confident and enthusiastic as they embark on their military service.

This time, Bac Yen district has 121 citizens enlisting in the military, including 85 for military service and 36 for the People's Public Security Force. Sixteen citizens volunteered to enlist. 100% of the enlisted citizens meet the health requirements and have at least a secondary school education; of these, 15 have graduated from vocational schools, colleges, or universities; and 45 have received Party awareness training.
