The tourism event "Colors of Son La - Northwest" will take place from December 4 - 6, 2023

The program “Colors of Son La - Northwest” was organized within the framework of the Northwest Culture - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City, chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. The main contents focused on Cultural - Tourism activities of Ho Chi Minh City, Son La and Dien Bien.

The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Northwestern Provinces Tourism Week 2023 will open at 8:00 p.m. on December 4 at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Within the framework of the tourism week, there will also be a series of activities including: Conference to promote tourism in the Northwest - Ho Chi Minh City; Art program "Colors of Son La - Northwest"; Experience the Tang Cau ritual of the Thai ethnic group in Son La; Exhibition and introduction of Cultural - Tourism space; Cultural experience activities of the Thai, Mong and Dao ethnic communities.

Attending the event, Son La province had leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; relevant departments, branches, units; Provincial Tourism Association and districts and cities; nearly 100 male and female actors of the Provincial Music and Dance Theater, Son La College, folk artists, typical mass art cores of Mong, Dao, Thai ethnic groups of Moc Chau district and the city; and representatives of typical tourism enterprises, cooperatives, tourism service business households...

This is a major event of great significance to promote communication and promotion of Son La tourism, especially the brand "World's Leading Regional Natural Destination" for Moc Chau National Tourist Area; continue to deploy practical activities to contribute to the effective implementation of Conclusion No. 94-KL/TU dated January 23, 2021 of the Son La Provincial Party Committee on tourism development in Son La province to 2025, with a vision to 2030. Along with that is the effective implementation of the Agreement on tourism development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and 8 Northwestern provinces for the period 2020 - 2025; regulations on implementing the agreement on tourism development cooperation between 8 expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2021 - 2025; promote tourism development linkage between Ho Chi Minh City and Son La province in particular, and the group of 8 expanded Northwestern provinces with Ho Chi Minh City in general.

Create conditions for districts, cities, tourist areas, points, villages; hotels, restaurants, tourism cooperatives in Son La province to have the opportunity to introduce different tourism products, unique ethnic cultural identities and attractive local products to people and tourists in Ho Chi Minh City.

Through experiential activities in the tourism program to attract investors, travel companies, units and individuals to cooperate in developing tourism in Son La province, especially Moc Chau National Tourist Area and Son La Hydropower Reservoir Area.
