(baosonla.vn) - On the evening of March 13th, at the Northwest Square in Son La city, the Thai-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Group and the Son La Thai Culture Lovers Group jointly organized a Thai cultural exchange program to celebrate the 2025 Son La City Ban Flower Festival.

The "Dance of Unity" was performed at the cultural exchange program.
The program featured the participation of over 300 artisans and performers from clubs and groups of the Thai ethnic group in communes and wards across the provinces of Son La, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai; as well as Thai ethnic groups and Thai ethnic student groups in Hanoi.

At the exchange program, clubs and groups of Thai ethnic people from various localities participated in the "Dance of Unity" and "The Jewel of the White Ban Region" dances; cultural exchanges; and presentations in Thai language on preserving the cultural features of the Thai ethnic group. A group of children from Chau Co village, Son La city, organized several activities including folk games and singing riddles and folk songs in Thai.
This is the second time the Thai cultural exchange program has been held in Son La city. It's an opportunity for the Thai community from different regions to meet, interact, learn from each other's experiences, and preserve the unique cultural beauty of their ethnic group. At the same time, it creates opportunities for the younger generation to learn about, preserve, and protect the spoken language, written script, and distinctive cultural features of the Thai people.

The program was held over two days, March 13th and 14th, at Northwest Square with other attractive activities, such as: experiencing the bauhinia flower forest, participating in folk games, picking flowers to solve riddles, Xoe dance, Sap dance, and exchanging Thai ethnic cuisine.
