(baosonla.vn) - On March 18, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, in coordination with Brigade 126 of the Naval Force and the Sop Cop District Party Committee, organized a conference to promote awareness of the sea and islands and attract resources for building the Naval Force.

Nearly 100 delegates attended the conference, including officials from the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee; the Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations; part-time lecturers and speakers of the District Party Committee; grassroots propagandists; and secretaries and deputy secretaries of subordinate Party branches and committees.
At the conference, delegates heard presentations from speakers of the 126th Naval Brigade on the position, role, and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands; the recent situation of the seas and islands; the views, policies, and guidelines of the Party and State on the East Sea issue; and the core role of the Vietnam People's Navy in protecting the sacred sovereignty of the nation's seas, islands, and continental shelf.

On the same day, the 126th Brigade of the Naval Force conducted a campaign to raise awareness about the sea and islands, attracting resources for the development of the Naval Force for more than 1,600 officers, teachers, and students at Sop Cop High School and the Sop Cop District Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, helping students who aspire to study there understand the standards, procedures, and guidelines when registering to take the entrance exam for the Naval Academy.
