At the conference, leaders of Song Ma and Muong Et districts informed about the socio-economic, defense and security situation in 2024; assessed the implementation of the contents of the memorandum of understanding signed in Muong Et district. Accordingly, the Party Committee, government, cadres, party members and people of the two districts always promote the tradition of special solidarity and friendship, regularly exchange information and cooperate in economic and social fields; promptly coordinate to propagate and mobilize people in border communes and villages to implement the Agreement on border regulations. Proactively resolve arising issues related to security and order, border lines and border markers to ensure political stability and border security.

The two governments have created favorable conditions for businesses and people to buy, sell and exchange goods for daily life and production. The value of import and export goods between Muong Et and Song Ma districts in 2024 is estimated to reach over 3.1 million USD. At the same time, maintain and create favorable conditions for officials and people of Muong Et district to receive medical examination and treatment at Song Ma District General Hospital and Chieng Khuong Commune Health Station, Muong Hung Commune Health Station.

Song Ma and Muong Et districts have agreed on the contents of cooperation in the coming time.
