Sharing about her recent check-in, Ms. Duong Ngoc Mai said: "I read about the installation of wireless connectivity technology at famous historical, cultural, and tourist sites across the country. This is part of the 'I Love Vietnam' Project, implemented in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper, to commemorate [the anniversary].50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country"Today, having the opportunity to visit the Son La Prison National Special Historical Site, we immediately noticed a sign with an NFC chip at the entrance, and my companions and I decided to try it out."

These days, the Son La Prison National Special Historical Site attracts a large number of tourists from all over the country who come to visit and learn about a heroic period of steadfast revolutionary fighters.

Holding up her smartphone to show me the moment of her successful check-in, Ms. Duong Ngoc Mai further shared: After scanning the NFC chip, visitors will be able to update essential information about Son La Prison, where the French colonialists established it with the insidious plot to imprison, exile, and eliminate the fighting spirit of Vietnamese communist fighters.

“Through research using my smartphone after scanning the NFC chip, I learned about the communist prisoners who, with their willpower, determination, and unwavering faith in the victory of the national revolution, resolutely accomplished the extremely significant event of establishing the Son La Prison Party Branch in December 1939, igniting the flame of revolution in the Northwest region…,” said Ms. Duong Ngoc Mai.

Ms. Hoang Ngan Hoan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, said: "Based on the above factors, after receiving the directive from the Son La Provincial Party Committee on coordinating with Nhan Dan Newspaper to install NFC chip boards at cultural and historical landmarks, the unit selected Bach Long Glass Bridge, located on Moc Chau Island, Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau town, along with the Son La Prison National Special Monument, Group 9, To Hieu ward, Son La city, and Ta Xua cloud paradise, Ta Xua commune, Bac Yen district, to implement the installation of NFC chip boards as part of the "I Love Vietnam" project."

At Moc Chau Island tourist area, NFC chip boards, part of the "I Love Vietnam" project, have been installed at the end point of the glass bridge experience and in front of the Sacred Bird Cave. This location will facilitate visitors, after taking photos and experiencing the atmosphere of the glass bridge, to check in at this spot.

Moc Chau Island Tourist Area reports that every day, between 1,200 and 1,300 people visit, experience, and stay there. Many of these tourists, including young people, also directly experience the NFC chip boards installed by Nhan Dan Newspaper at the Bach Long glass bridge area.

Checking in at locations equipped with NFC chip boards, a project implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with technology partners, will help residents and tourists know how many people have already checked in at that location. At Moc Chau Island Tourist Area, in addition to experiencing adventurous activities, visitors can now learn more about this tourist complex through NFC wireless digital technology, which was installed in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper.

The delegation from the Bac Yen District Party Committee, Son La province, experienced wireless digital technology through NFC chip boards installed free of charge at Ta Xua Cloud Paradise in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper.

In Son La, Nhan Dan Newspaper collaborated with partners to install free NFC chip-enabled billboards at three famous landmarks in Bac Yen district, Son La city, and Moc Chau town.

In Son La province, when tourists visit the three aforementioned locations, if they want to experience wireless digital technology to learn about their current location, they simply need to touch their internet-enabled smartphone close to the NFC chip-equipped panel following the instructions on the screen, and a link to the "I Love Vietnam" website will automatically appear.

These smart interactive stations aim to enhance the convenience of services for tourists and locals completely free of charge. This technological solution consists of two main parts: a physical interactive station equipped with an NFC chip, and a website that tourists and locals can access after touching their phones to the smart interactive station with the NFC chip.

The interactive stations with NFC chip boards, jointly implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper, will follow a uniform design for all 63 provinces and cities, using two colors, yellow and red, inspired by the Vietnamese national flag.

The interactive stations can operate autonomously without a power source. People can connect to the smart interactive station using a phone with short-range wireless connectivity to access a link to the "I Love Vietnam" website.

Each smart interactive station will provide stories, images (videos or 3D models, if available) about the location and province/city where the NFC chip board is installed. At the same time, these interactive stations will offer features for searching, navigation, and information retrieval to explore tourist attractions in the current location and surrounding areas.

In Son La province, one of the localities that has been striving to promote digital transformation in various fields, the Nhan Dan Newspaper's use of this NFC chip-equipped board will be one of the tools contributing to the province's successful implementation of its digital transformation strategy, combining official information and data with technology and creative ideas.
