From April 7th to 11th, on the occasion of the traditional Bun Pi May New Year of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the 64th anniversary of the establishment of the Lao Police Force, a delegation from the Son La Provincial Police, led by Major General Dang Trong Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police, visited, extended New Year greetings, and held working sessions with the Police Departments of Hua Phan, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang provinces in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the Son La Provincial Police, Major General Dang Trong Cuong extended his deepest condolences to the people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in general and to the officers and soldiers of the police forces of the three provinces of Hua Phan, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang in particular, on the passing of General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
On the occasion of the traditional Lao New Year, Bun Pi May 2025, and to congratulate the successful Party Congresses of the Public Security Departments of Luang Prabang and Hua Phan provinces, Major General Dang Trong Cuong sent his best wishes to the collective of officers and soldiers of the Public Security Departments of these provinces.

In an atmosphere of solidarity and friendship, the leaders of the Son La Provincial Police and the police forces of Hua Phan, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang provinces exchanged information and reported on the situation and results of their respective units' work. They also agreed to further strengthen solidarity, cooperation, and coordination in ensuring security and order, combating and preventing all types of crime, especially drug-related crimes, and maintaining security and order in the border areas, contributing to the stability and development of each province and each country.
