Many localities have started construction and achieved 100% of the planned targets, such as Son La city and the districts of Bac Yen, Quynh Nhai, Yen Chau… The province has been flexible and creative in the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, ensuring the criteria of "three solid" (solid foundation, solid frame and solid roof).
Some localities have established construction teams to undertake projects at prices lower than the market rate. For particularly disadvantaged households lacking the initial financial means, the commune government will provide advance funding to purchase construction materials; these households will repay the loan after receiving housing assistance funds.
