On April 23, Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial Border Affairs Steering Committee, chaired a meeting to discuss the conditions and contents for the 2025 Border Affairs Meeting between Son La province and Hua Phan and Luang Prabang provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

At the meeting, leaders from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Border Guard Command, and related units reported on the progress of work immediately following the Provincial Party Standing Committee's approval of the plan to add the Border Work Review Meeting to the second quarter of 2025. Delegates focused on discussing key issues related to the preparation for the 2025 Border Work Review Meeting, such as compiling a summary report in the form of a visual presentation, proposing guest speakers, preparing commendation content, and agreeing on the meeting's schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan emphasized: The 2025 border work coordination meeting between Son La province and Hua Phan and Luang Prabang provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is an important political event, contributing to strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between the two countries. She requested relevant departments and agencies to incorporate the opinions expressed at the meeting and, according to their functions and duties, prepare well for the meeting. She also requested coordination and agreement on the production of a documentary summarizing border work over the past period; reviewing and ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule, avoiding delays or omissions, and ensuring the coordination meeting is implemented according to plan.
