On the evening of April 27, at Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized the opening of the photo exhibition "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 with the new era of development of the Vietnamese people" and "Pride of a border strip".
The photo exhibition "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 with the New Era of Development of the Vietnamese People" and "Pride of a Border Strip" took place at 3 locations: Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Nguyen Du - Dong Khoi Street and opposite Chi Lang Park from April 27 to May 5, as a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975/April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890/May 19, 2025).

Delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the exhibitions "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 with the new era of development of the Vietnamese people" and "Pride of a border strip".
Attending the opening ceremony of the Exhibition were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang; Party Central Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong; Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy and representatives of agencies, departments and branches; veterans, workers, union members, youth and a large number of people.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that the Great Victory in Spring 1975 was a major historical milestone that ended the long and arduous resistance war against the US to save the country, bringing the country into an era of independence, unity and development.
50 years after the Great Spring Victory, Ho Chi Minh City - the city honored to be named after Uncle Ho, has continuously grown and developed, promoting the revolutionary spirit, dynamism and creativity; constantly striving to overcome many difficulties and challenges to achieve proud achievements.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi delivered the opening speech at the Exhibition.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, the exhibition contributes to an overview of the heroic struggle of the army and people of the South in the resistance war against the US to save the country.
"This is the result of a long journey of arduous sacrifices and fighting by the patriotic Vietnamese people, of the great national unity under the glorious flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the steadfast belief in beloved President Ho Chi Minh along with great international support....", Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi shared.
The art photos at the Exhibition are meticulously invested, with a lot of dedication to closely following the theme, creatively conveying realistic and emotional images, vividly reflecting the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Vietnam.
The works also contribute to spreading simple yet noble examples, honoring the forces that are day and night firmly protecting the borders and national sovereignty; highlighting the glorious tradition of 80 years of the heroic Vietnam People's Army.

The exhibition displays more than 200 images with the theme "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 with the New Development Era of the Vietnamese People".and"Pride of a frontier" shows the long journey of steadfast, indomitable struggle, full of sacrifices and hardships of our army and people in the resistance war against the US, saving the country, the peak of which was the heroic struggle of the army and people of the South, together with the mobilization of great human and material resources of the whole country, carried out three key strategic blows (the Central Highlands campaign, the Hue - Da Nang campaign and the Ho Chi Minh campaign) to liberate Saigon on April 30, 1975.

At the same time, the Exhibition also displays outstanding and typical works of the 3rd "Proud of a Border Strip" art photography contest organized by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission in coordination with the Central Commission for External Relations; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Public Security; General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Border Guard Command; Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to honor and depict the life, work, activities, and combat training of our army and people who are day and night firmly protecting the borders of the Fatherland, especially in places where many ethnic minorities live, reflecting the glorious 80-year tradition of the Vietnam People's Army.

At the same time, on Nguyen Du - Dong Khoi street, an exhibition of 70 images with the theme "Working class - The driving force in the movement to fight for national liberation and build a sustainable country" was also organized, demonstrating the strength of great national unity with the working class as the vanguard force of the Vietnamese Revolution.
The exhibition highlights the image of workers, civil servants and laborers in Ho Chi Minh City who "dare to think, dare to do" in production with a dynamic, self-reliant and pioneering spirit in all fields, actively studying and researching science, proactively reforming administration, approaching and applying modern technology and techniques, creating new methods and models, suitable to the practical characteristics of the City in production and society in the new period.
