The May program "Uncle Ho with the Vietnamese Ethnic Communities" is linked to activities reenacting the Forest God Worship Ceremony of the ethnic groups in A Luoi district. This is a unique community-based folk ritual that demonstrates the harmony between humans and nature, preserved, passed down, and organized by the people at the beginning of the new spring.
The ritual of worshipping the forest spirits is a way to thank the deities for protecting the village, granting it health, good fortune, and peace; it is a beautiful tradition with profound humanistic values of the ethnic groups in A Lưới district, closely associated with the mountains and rivers.
The folk song and dance program "Uncle Ho, a boundless love" includes cultural and artistic exchange activities with folk song and dance performances expressing the feelings of the ethnic communities of A Luoi district towards Uncle Ho, and exchanges with some neighboring ethnic groups to express their love and heartfelt sentiments for the beloved Uncle Ho.
The program, with its songs, musical performances, and dances praising President Ho Chi Minh, expresses the affection of the people of various ethnic groups for their beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, the people of these ethnic groups, working daily in the Village, unite in faith in the Party and President Ho Chi Minh to preserve, protect, and promote the traditional cultural values of their ethnic groups, and build prosperous and beautiful homelands, villages, and hamlets.
In May, the Village also hosted a folk song and dance program themed "Songs Dedicated to Uncle Ho," performed by the people who work daily at the Village. The program included songs, musical instrument performances, and dances praising President Ho Chi Minh, expressing the affection of the ethnic communities for their beloved President Ho Chi Minh. In addition, there was a program titled "Uncle Ho with the Central Highlands, the Central Highlands with Uncle Ho," which included cultural and artistic exchanges, showcasing the affection of the Central Highlands ethnic communities for President Ho Chi Minh...
In particular, in the Khmer community, there will be the Buddha's Birthday celebration. The biggest Buddhist celebration of the year, Vesak, also known as Buddha's Birthday, commemorates three important events in the life of the Buddha: his birth, enlightenment, and death (Nirvana). Vesak is not only an occasion to honor the Buddha, but also to reflect on his life as a historical figure and his teachings.
In addition, there are daily and weekend activities of 16 ethnic communities, experiential tourism programs, demonstrations of making and wrapping traditional cakes for tourists, folk games; activities to pray for peace and blessings at spiritual spaces such as Khmer temples and Cham towers... aiming to introduce the culture and customs of the people, along with experiential activities at the "Common House" of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam.
The program also includes weekend activities for ethnic minority groups who are actively involved at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village. Through stories about President Ho Chi Minh, the ethnic minority communities learn from his example, ethics, and style.
May, the month of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, is an opportunity for people of all ethnic groups to express their affection for the beloved President Ho Chi Minh not only through stories and songs about him, but also through genuine and simple activities connected to their lives. This contributes to promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's moral example and style in the practical actions and activities of the ethnic groups and spreads this message to tourists at the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village.
