On May 14th, within the framework of the "Meeting Korea 2025" conference in Hung Yen province, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, warmly welcomed the delegation from Son La province. The Ambassador stated that he would play a connecting role in attracting Korean businesses to invest in Son La, particularly in the fields of tourism, education, and agriculture, contributing to the further development of cooperative relations between Vietnam and Korea in general, and between Korean localities and businesses and Son La province in particular.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam for taking the time to receive the delegation and expressed his hope to welcome the Ambassador to Son La province as soon as possible. The Vice Chairman informed the delegation about the potential and strengths of agriculture and tourism, and requested the Embassy's assistance in promoting Son La's image to Korean businesses and people. He also requested continued support in connecting Korean businesses to survey and invest in the province, facilitating trade cooperation between the two sides, and exporting high-value agricultural products from Son La to the Korean market. Furthermore, he requested support in the labor sector, promoting human resource exchange programs and encouraging the province's workers to work in Korea.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the province to receive ODA projects, utilize non-refundable aid and preferential loans from the Korean Government in the fields of health, education and training, transportation and urban infrastructure... Son La province is ready to create the most favorable conditions for foreign investors to invest in the province.
