Attending the closing ceremony were Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Major General Dinh Manh Phac, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2, Ministry of National Defense; Colonel To Quang Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

Cultural performances at the ceremony.
After nine months of study, 120 trainees, all officers and soldiers from the armed forces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, were equipped with skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Vietnamese, enhancing communication; and reading and understanding some military terminology. In addition to their regular classes, the trainees also participated in practical study trips to several historical sites and scenic spots such as: Son La Prison; Northwest City Square; the Vietnam-Laos Revolutionary Historical Site in Lao Kho village, Phieng Khoai commune, Yen Chau district; the 52nd Tay Tien Regiment Memorial Site; and the Moc Ly Fort Historical Site in Moc Chau district…

During the course, trainees received health check-ups and treatment according to regulations; participated in cultural exchange and sports activities with several schools in the city. 100% of trainees were able to use Vietnamese for everyday communication; they possessed the necessary Vietnamese language skills to acquire knowledge and serve their professional work in their respective fields. As a result, 100% of trainees participated in the Vietnamese language proficiency assessment exam and received certificates.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the departments and agencies, especially the Provincial Military Command and Son La College, specifically Regiment 754 and the International Faculty of Son La College, for overcoming difficulties, proactively developing the content and program, and ensuring facilities and other conditions to serve the organization of the course. She also requested that the departments and agencies and related units conduct a review, draw lessons learned, build upon the achievements, and overcome limitations to organize more effective courses when assigned by competent authorities. Immediately after the closing ceremony, the relevant units arranged forces and vehicles to organize the repatriation of students, ensuring absolute safety for both personnel and equipment.

The Command of Military Region 2 presented gifts to the trainees.
In recognition of the achievements made on this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 collectives and 12 individuals from the Lao People's Democratic Republic for their outstanding achievements in coordination, learning, and contributions to consolidating and strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between Son La province and 9 provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic; Certificates of Merit were also awarded to 3 collectives and 4 individuals from Son La province for their achievements in recruiting and training Vietnamese language skills for officers and soldiers of the armed forces of 9 provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The Provincial Military Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 32 individuals for their achievements in management, teaching, service, and learning and training of the Vietnamese language training course for officers and soldiers of the armed forces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in 2023.
