The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway construction investment project in Son La province has 3 component projects, including: Compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance in Van Ho district, invested by Van Ho district People's Committee, length of 31.25 km, total investment of 456 billion VND; Compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance in Moc Chau town, invested by Moc Chau town People's Committee, length of 1.05 km, total investment of 37 billion VND, adjusted to 63 billion VND; Traffic construction investment project invested by Son La province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, length of 32.3 km, total investment of 4,445 billion VND.

Highway perspective.

The total length of the expressway is 32.3 km. The starting point is at Km 53+00 in Chieng Yen commune, Van Ho district, Son La province, connecting with the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project in Hoa Binh province. The end point is at Km 85+262, intersecting with National Highway 43, in Van Son ward, Moc Chau town, Son La province. The project implementation period is from 2025-2028.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway Project is a strategic connecting route between the Northwest region with the Northern Delta and the capital Hanoi, a vital traffic route that shortens the distance, reduces travel time, and opens up new development space for Son La province and the Northwest region. The implementation of the Son La Expressway project has focused on directing the implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement in Van Ho district, Moc Chau town, and handing over clean land to the construction contractor. After selecting the construction contractor, the project has now ensured sufficient contractors to start and implement the project according to regulations...

The project is a symbol of the strong aspiration of the ethnic people of Son La in particular and the ethnic people of the Northwest in general, an important milestone for a new development stage, proactive integration and socio-economic development, faster and more sustainable poverty reduction.

He emphasized that the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway Project is a vivid demonstration of the Party and State's determination to invest in infrastructure, especially in areas with many difficulties such as the Northwest.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that central ministries and branches regularly pay attention to guiding and directing project implementation, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles in the legal corridor, and quickly resolving work contents within their authority.
