Today marks the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 / May 19, 2025). With profound respect and boundless gratitude, the entire Party, people, and army of Vietnam are deeply moved as they remember the beloved leader of the nation, who dedicated his entire life to serving the Fatherland and the people.
During his lifetime, witnessing the extreme suffering of the nation when the country was plunged into misery and slavery, the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh - Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - dedicated his entire youth to finding a way to save the country and its people.
He embraced Marxism-Leninism, finding in this scientific and revolutionary doctrine the path to national independence and people's happiness. From then on, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which he founded and nurtured, the Vietnamese revolution overcame countless hardships and dangers, moving from one victory to another.

With his superior political acumen, ability to seize opportunities, and brilliant foresight in predicting the course of the revolution, he led the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to glorious victory in the general uprising to seize power for the people, establishing a state of the people, by the people, and for the people. He was the soul of the nine-year protracted resistance war of the Vietnamese nation and the war for the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.
In fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for "an independent, free, happy, democratic, prosperous, and powerful Vietnam," our Party has initiated and led the reform process, achieving tremendous, historically significant accomplishments. Vietnam has completed the Millennium Development Goal of eradicating hunger and poverty 10 years ahead of schedule.
In particular, fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for a prosperous and strong nation, "standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the world," the entire political system is striving and determined to successfully implement the revolution of reorganizing and streamlining the organizational structure and perfecting the institutions; doing a good job of organizing Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party; and achieving breakthrough socio-economic development goals, namely growth of 8% or more in 2025, and continuous double-digit growth in the period 2026-2030.
Every victory and every step forward of the Vietnamese revolution is inextricably linked to the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh—the great leader of our Party and people, the national liberation hero, the outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam, and the brilliant revolutionary fighter of the international communist movement—always simple and ordinary yet profoundly insightful.
