From May 16-19, at the Traditional Arts Center of Nghe An province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the "Sen Village Singing" Festival to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to delegations with high achievements at the festival.
The festival gathered nearly 1,000 extras from 30 art troupes representing provinces and cities across the country. The performances were diverse in genre, elaborately staged, and expressed deep affection for President Ho Chi Minh.
The Son La Provincial Mass Art Troupe participated in the festival with 25 actors and propagandists from the Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center. With the theme "Son La welcomes Uncle Ho back", the art program included 5 special performances: Mountains and forests thank the Party, thank Uncle Ho; Mong people miss Uncle Ho; Thuan Chau where Uncle Ho visited; The fairy plays the flute and the Son La song and dance medley welcoming Uncle Ho back - Saying goodbye to Uncle Ho. The performances vividly recreated the image of beloved Uncle Ho in the hearts of the ethnic groups in Son La province, while also vividly depicting the cultural identity of the Northwest region.
The song and dance performance "Son La welcomes Uncle Ho back - Saying goodbye to Uncle" by the Son La troupe won the Silver Medal.
The performance "The Mong people miss Uncle Ho" by the Son La troupe won the Silver Medal.
As a result, the Son La delegation was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Nghe An province; a certificate of merit from the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library for 1 individual and 1 Gold Medal and 3 Silver Medals for participating performances.
