In accordance with Decision No. 539/QD-TTg dated June 19, 2024, of the Prime Minister on the issuance of the plan to implement the emulation movement to jointly eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025, Son La province has issued plans, projects, and programs to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Previously, after reviewing the support needs...demolish temporary and dilapidated houses.In Son La province, there are 3,058 houses, including 2,653 newly built houses and 405 houses undergoing renovation.

Of the 3,058 houses in need of assistance, 200 are for people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs; 314 are under the national target program; and 2,544 are under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Thuan Chau District, Son La Province, has completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before April 30, 2025.

To date, Son La province has completed 3,058 houses, exceeding the target of Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐ approved by the Son La Provincial Steering Committee by 221 houses.

The houses are built with quality assurance and meet the "three solid" standards (solid frame, solid walls, solid roof), avoiding the use of temporary, easily damaged, or flammable materials, and ensuring safety during construction and use.

According to the plan, the project was completed 4 days ahead of the May 19, 2025 deadline set by Son La province; and 169 days ahead of the Government-mandated deadline of October 31, 2025.

During the process of constructing and repairing temporary and dilapidated houses, Son La province mobilized various forces to help families of war heroes replace their temporary homes with permanent ones.

The total funding required to support the construction and repair of 3,058 houses is 171 billion 330 million VND.

Funding from the poverty reduction target program is 5.556 billion VND; from savings in the provincial budget of Son La province is 640 billion VND; from savings in the district budget is 10.338 billion VND; and from sponsorship by Dong Nai province is 111 billion VND.

The quality of the houses built with support in Son La province meets the "three solid" standards.

In addition to the above funding sources, there is also socialized funding received at the district level totaling 13,514.12 million VND; and funding received by the Son La Provincial "For the Poor" Fund Campaign Committee totaling 61,569.729 million VND.

It still existsfunding sourcesThe amount yet to be received is 8.94 billion VND for the implementation of support for 200 houses for families of revolutionary martyrs and their relatives. Son La province has also requested the Ministry of Finance to promptly allocate funds for the aforementioned support.

A poor household in Muong Cai commune, Song Ma border district, has received support to replace their temporary house.

In addition,Son La provinceA campaign titled "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" was launched in the area. In addition to financial contributions, philanthropists, forces, and residents contributed more than 62,000 man-days of labor to support households in building and repairing their homes.

Thanks to these efforts, Son La province has accelerated the completion of construction projects, saving costs and helping people complete the construction and repair of their homes sooner. At the same time, it has stabilized people's lives and contributed to the province's goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses ahead of the government's plan.
