(sonla.gov.vn) Over the years, Son La College has not only fulfilled its mission of training human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the province and neighboring provinces, but has also achieved many successes in training students from the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Son La College continues to do a good job in training Lao students.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, Son La College accepted 264 international students and trainees from 9 provinces in Northern Laos for Vietnamese language training. This included 139 students studying a one-year preparatory Vietnamese language course and 125 trainees studying a nine-month Vietnamese language course. Receiving Lao students is a great honor for the college. While it brings joy and pride, it also places a responsibility on the school. Training Lao students is part of the Party, State, and provincial policies on strengthening friendly relations, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation with the Lao People's Democratic Republic. This policy also promotes close cooperation while contributing to the development of cadres in neighboring provinces, meeting the human resource needs in the new situation.
All Lao students studying at Son La College are provided with accommodation, meals, and living arrangements at the school. The school has a team of competent, experienced, and dedicated teachers. The facilities and teaching equipment are modern and comprehensive, ensuring that students have a comfortable living environment and can maximize their learning potential. The educational environment is safe, healthy, friendly, and fosters creativity. While studying at the school, students also participate in cultural and sports activities; visit and research historical sites and scenic spots in Son La province and other locations across Vietnam to enhance their understanding of Vietnamese culture and people, and improve their Vietnamese language skills. To ensure students have the best possible learning experience, the school is committed to fulfilling its role and responsibilities to the best of its ability, creating all possible conditions for students to live and study with peace of mind.
