As part of the 2025 Phiêng Khoài Plum Harvesting Festival program, on the morning of May 23rd, a competition showcasing agricultural products took place in Ái 1 village, Phiêng Khoài commune.

Nine teams from villages and schools in the commune participated, bringing to the festival a colorful tapestry of agricultural products from Phiêng Khoài commune. These included typical and representative agricultural products such as plums, peaches, melons, bananas, various vegetables and fruits grown according to VietGAP and organic standards, processed products like dried plums, crispy dried bananas, chewy dried bananas, traditional ethnic remedies, brocade fabrics, and handicrafts. The stalls were scientifically and attractively displayed, showcasing a diverse range of products while minimizing the use of plastic.

With skillful hands, the competing teams created shapes from plums and local agricultural products into maps or famous tourist destinations such as the Vietnam-Laos Revolutionary Historical Site, expressing pride in their homeland and love for their country; at the same time, conveying the message of producing safe agricultural products associated with environmental protection.

Regarding the presentation content, within the 3-minute time limit, the competing teams introduced the outstanding features of their locality and unit, providing a full overview of their products, their origins, production processes, quality, and consumption.

The symbol of the Vietnam-Laos Historical Site in Lao Kho village, Phieng Khoai commune, is made from plums.
The exhibition of local agricultural products contributed to introducing and promoting to friends inside and outside the province the distinctive products of the locality, as well as the potential and strengths of cultural, sports, and tourism development, and the cultural heritage values of the ethnic groups in the commune.
