To preserve, conserve, and promote the unique cultural characteristics of the Thai ethnic group.On March 13-14, the Thai-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Group and the Son La Thai Culture Lovers Group jointly organized a Thai cultural exchange program to celebrate the 2025 Son La City Ban Flower Festival at the Northwest Square in Son La City. Attending the program was Comrade Ha Trung Chien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People's Council. The program featured the participation of nearly 400 artisans, amateur performers, Thai cultural clubs from across the province and from the provinces of Lai Chau, Yen Bai, and Lai Cao; and the Thai community in Hanoi.
The program featured nearly 60 outstanding song, dance, and musical performances by artisans and performers from Thai ethnic cultural clubs. The performances were meticulously prepared and staged, using props related to the daily lives of the Thai people, creating a vibrant and diverse artistic program. The sweet and soulful melodies of Thai folk songs, combined with the lively sounds of the bamboo flute, evoked stories and customs of the Thai people, expressing love for their homeland and celebrating the increasing prosperity and development of their villages.
GRANDMAQUANG THI VAN, Tan An Ward, Nghia Lo Town, Yen Bai Province:“Participating in today's cultural exchange program, I found the performances by the groups and clubs from other teams very good. Through this, my team also learned many new things. Besides singing and dancing, the organizers also had very meaningful activities such as presentations on Thai culture. This is a very meaningful activity to teach young people about preserving the unique cultural features of our ethnic group.”
In addition, representatives from Thai ethnic clubs and groups from various localities participated in presentations in Thai, introducing the distinctive cultural features of each region; they also participated in flower-picking and riddle-solving in Thai; played folk games such as Tó mák lẹ and blindfolded drum beating; and performed the "Dance of Unity" amidst the joyful atmosphere of the large Thai ethnic community.

Through this program, Thai communities in provinces and cities across the country also hope that the program will be organized regularly, creating opportunities for the younger generation to learn about the culture, nurture love for their nation, and preserve the unique cultural characteristics of their people.
