Continuing the activities of the Son La City Hoa Ban Festival 2025, the Cultural Camp Competition is a place to gather and spread the cultural identity of the ethnic groups of Hoa Ban City.
With creativity and skill, the 12 cultural booths were elaborately decorated by communes and wards in the city using natural, environmentally friendly materials, showcasing typical cultural features and strong ethnic identities of each locality. Each commune and ward presented a unique and distinctive cultural space showcasing the culture of their respective ethnic groups, reflecting the specific cultural characteristics of each locality.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Chieng Le Ward, Son La City:At the Son La City Ban Flower Festival 2025 today, Chieng Le Ward presents a cultural booth space that embodies the rich cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group. The highlight of our booth is the ban flowers and the piêu scarves, symbolizing the faithful and gentle Thai women, and also representing the traditional culture of the Thai people. Through this booth space, we aim to promote the beautiful cultural aspects of the ethnic people in our ward as well as the ethnic people of Son La province.
The Cultural Camp booths showcase and introduce cultural spaces through traditional costumes, cuisine, and musical instruments; and promote local agricultural products, handicrafts, OCOP products, and medicinal herbs.

This was to promote the festival and provide an opportunity for Hua La commune to showcase its key local products to friends both domestically and internationally.
The highlight was the cultural exchange and performance activities organized by communes and wards within the cultural camp space, such as singing, dancing, folk games, experiencing brocade weaving, and drinking traditional rice wine, which provided a novel and unique experience attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to visit and experience.
Robbie – A tourist from New York City:This was my first time visiting Son La, and I had the opportunity to visit the stalls and see a wide variety of products, from traditional clothing to agricultural products. This trip left me with many positive impressions of this place.
Each cultural booth at the Son La City Ban Flower Festival has its own unique features, but all aim to promote and showcase the diversity of traditional customs and cultural beauty of the 12 ethnic groups in Son La.
