During these special days, many young people in Son La have chosen to wear traditional ao dai dresses, carrying the beloved red flag with a yellow star, and strolling along streets adorned with national flags to capture meaningful moments and rekindle national pride.
Student Mùa Thị Cúc, Northwest University, Sơn La City:“As young people, as Vietnamese, we wear these traditional outfits these days to express our national pride and self-respect. Taking photos in these traditional costumes is to celebrate this important holiday, and at the same time, to spread our love for our homeland to everyone.”
Beyond mere emotion, many young people have transformed their love for their country into concrete actions, constantly reminding themselves to strive harder each day:
Ms. Lo Thi Hieng, Group 6, Chieng Sinh Ward, Son La City:"During these days when the whole country is looking forward to April 30th, I feel very proud to be a Vietnamese citizen. As a young person, I will strive to improve myself and contribute to building my homeland and country."
For Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha Trang, the owner of a coffee shop in Group 6, Quyet Thang Ward, faith and patriotism are expressed through every aspect of her living space. The path lined with national flags leading to the coffee shop, or the meticulously decorated walls, are ways her family is spreading love for their homeland to everyone around them.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha Trang, Group 6, Quyet Thang Ward, Son La City:"In response to the patriotic movement and with April 30th approaching, a very special holiday, I want to spread the most wonderful sense of patriotism to young people, students, and the younger generation. So that young people will always remember that April 30th is a day we will cherish the most."
Love for one's country and national pride don't lie in grand gestures, but begin with simple actions like these. Each traditional áo dài dress, each flag displayed on the porch, is a reminder that history doesn't sleep in books but is present in every breath today, through the hearts of young people who know how to love, remember, and act.
