On the morning of July 29, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, Head of the Content and External Affairs Subcommittee chaired an expanded meeting to review and prepare the content of organizing activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025).
According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, up to now, the Department has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents directing the implementation; completed the draft framework of the Celebration Program; the framework of the art program to welcome the Celebration; designed the diagram, location, and overall area of the activities within the framework of the Cultural Festival of Son La Ethnic Groups at the Northwest Square; started the construction of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway Project, the section in the province and launched a literary and artistic composition contest with the theme "Son La 130 years of formation and development".
Currently, the Subcommittee on Content and Foreign Affairs is drafting speeches, speeches, and responses at the celebration; connecting and consulting documents to send to the northern provinces of the Lao PDR to participate in displaying booths at the celebration; the Provincial Military Command is coordinating with relevant departments and branches to draft a plan to organize the parade.
Comrade Trang Thi Xuan agreed on the framework script of the art program at the Anniversary Ceremony. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to coordinate with consulting units to complete the framework of the art program at the Anniversary Ceremony; organize a Famtrip delegation to promote Son La tourism in accordance with local conditions. The Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center presided over the organization of booths within the framework of the program.
