On the morning of July 29th, Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, and Head of the Content and External Relations Subcommittee, chaired an expanded meeting to review and prepare the content for the activities commemorating the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025).
According to the report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department has so far advised and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for issuance of guiding documents; completed the draft framework for the commemoration ceremony; the framework for the welcoming art program at the commemoration ceremony; designed the overall layout, location, and area of activities within the framework of the Son La Province Ethnic Culture Festival at Tay Bac Square; commenced the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project, the section within the province; and launched a literary and artistic creation contest with the theme "Son La: 130 Years of Formation and Development".
Currently, the Subcommittee on Content and External Relations is drafting speeches, addresses, and responses for the commemoration ceremony; coordinating and advising on documents to be sent to the northern provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to participate in the exhibition booths at the commemoration ceremony; and the Provincial Military Command is coordinating with relevant departments and agencies to develop a draft plan for organizing the parade and march.
Comrade Trang Thi Xuan has finalized the framework for the artistic program at the Commemoration Ceremony. She assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with consulting units to finalize the artistic program framework; and to organize a Famtrip to promote Son La tourism in accordance with local realities. The Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center will preside over the organization of booths within the program. The Provincial Military Command will coordinate in developing the plan for the parade and march. The Department of Internal Affairs will prepare well for emulation and reward work; and members of the Content and Foreign Affairs Subcommittees will continue to coordinate the implementation of the contents to ensure the set progress./.
