On August 14, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation inspected and surveyed the construction site of the Primary - Secondary Boarding School in Phieng Khoai Commune, Son La Province. Accompanying him were Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

Implementing the Politburo's Conclusion Notice No. 81 on the policy of building schools in border communes, Phieng Khoai commune has completed the survey and selected the construction site at the current Phieng Khoai Secondary School. The project has an area of ​​4.9 hectares, with a total investment of about 150 billion VND, meeting the learning and living needs of about 1,000 students.

The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to take place on August 19, which is also the first project of 13 inter-level boarding schools to be invested in Son La. Up to this point, the locality has prepared the site; conducted an inventory and assessed the current status of Phieng Khoi Secondary School's assets to carry out the liquidation and site clearance work for the project; arranged a plan to transfer all teaching and learning activities of Phieng Khoi Secondary School in the 2025-2026 school year to Tam Thanh school of Kim Chung Primary School, and temporarily suspended the organization of cooking for boarding students.

Working with Phieng Khoi commune, comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet requested the commune to closely coordinate with departments and branches, carefully prepare conditions to ensure a solemn and economical groundbreaking ceremony; regularly report to the Provincial People's Committee on progress and difficulties in the implementation process; ensure careful organization of teaching and learning activities for students of Phieng Khoi Secondary School during the construction period; promote propaganda work on the project investment policy, creating high consensus among the people, parents and students./.
