In preparation for the 2026 tourism season, the Thanh Hoa Travel Association, in collaboration with Best Tour Moc Chau, organized a Famtrip to survey tourist routes and destinations in Van Ho and Moc Chau, promoting linkages and expanding the tourist market.
In recent years, tourism and trade connections between Thanh Hoa and Son La, especially the Moc Chau National Tourist Area, have received increasing attention and promotion. Through promotional programs and field trips (Famtrips), the number of tourists traveling back and forth between the two localities has continuously increased, creating an important foundation for sustainable cooperation.

The Famtrip program focuses on surveying ecotourism, community tourism, resort tourism, and local cultural experiences – the outstanding strengths of the Moc Chau highlands.
Through Famtrip programs and tourism supply-demand matching conferences, many travel businesses have had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience with the accommodation facilities, destinations, and unique tourism services of each locality. This has led to the formation of new tours and routes, contributing to a stable and sustainable increase in the number of tourists traveling between Thanh Hoa and Son La year after year.
In preparation for the 2026 tourism season, on January 28th and 29th, 2026, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Travel Association, in coordination with the Best Tour Moc Chau Alliance, organized a 2-day, 1-night Famtrip to survey tourism services and destinations in Van Ho and Moc Chau communes, Son La province.
The Famtrip program focused on surveying ecotourism, community-based tourism, resort tourism, and local cultural experiences – the outstanding strengths of the Moc Chau highlands. The survey team directly explored the accommodation system, restaurants, attractions, and supporting services, thereby assessing the potential for developing tours and routes suitable for the Thanh Hoa market and the North Central region.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – Chairman of Best Tour Alliance, Chairman of Happy Group, and Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial Tourism Association – said that this Famtrip program is an important opportunity for travel businesses in the two localities to strengthen connections and better understand each other's products and services. We expect that after this survey trip, many new tours and routes will be developed, contributing to attracting a stable flow of tourists from Thanh Hoa to Moc Chau and vice versa during the 2026 tourism season.

Through this survey trip, Thanh Hoa travel businesses gained practical experience to improve their products, diversify itineraries, enhance service quality, and strengthen cooperation with partners in Moc Chau. This was also an opportunity for Son La tourism businesses to showcase their potential and strengths, preparing to welcome new tourists during the upcoming peak season.
Mr. Vu Van Binh, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Tourism Association, believes that strengthening Famtrip programs and fostering practical connections between businesses in the two localities is an effective solution to improve the quality of tourism products.
Through the survey, Thanh Hoa's travel businesses have a better basis for developing tours and routes that suit tourists' tastes, contributing to expanding the market and increasing the number of tourists traveling between Thanh Hoa and Moc Chau in the future, Mr. Binh emphasized.
The Thanh Hoa – Moc Chau Famtrip program not only contributes to promoting regional linkages in tourism development but also opens up opportunities for deeper cooperation in trade and services. Through this, it gradually realizes the goal of building a linked tourism product chain, effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of each locality, and making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of both provinces in the coming period.
