Before assuming their duties, the border guard officers assigned to the communes are instructed to thoroughly understand the functions, tasks, positions, roles, and content of building and strengthening the local political system, linked to the task of managing and firmly protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security. At the same time, they receive training in ethnic languages and the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in border areas… helping the border guard officers assigned to the communes to effectively fulfill their duties in the locality.
Through evaluation, the Border Guard officers participating in local Party committees have actively advised on gradually improving the quality of activities and innovating the leadership style of the political system at the grassroots level, focusing on issues related to the management and protection of territorial sovereignty, national border security, and socio-economic development. At the same time, they have effectively implemented the Coordination Regulations between the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee and the border district Party committees; and between the Party committees of border guard posts and the Party committees of border communes.
