The People's Committee of Son La province has just signed and issued Decision No. 1868/QD-UBND on approving the investment policy of the Son La City Cemetery Park project, with a proposed project construction scale of 1,645,598m2.

According to Decision No. 1868/QD-UBND, the scope of project establishment is in the area of Phuong village, Na Ngan village and Ka Lap village, Chieng Ngan commune, Son La city. The specific boundaries are as follows: The North borders the asphalt road to Nam Pan 5 hydropower plant; the South borders the rocky mountain of Ka Lap village; the East borders the land of Phuong village, Na Ngan village, Chieng Ngan commune and Luong Mat village, Muong Bang commune, Mai Son district; the West borders the rocky mountain, land of Phuong village, land of Na Ngan village and Ka Lap village.
The project aims to build a cemetery park that meets the burial, cemetery service and cremation needs of the local people and surrounding areas for at least 50-70 years. Completing technical infrastructure and environmental criteria will help Son La city improve the criteria for a type II urban area, towards the criteria for a type I urban area and develop greenly, quickly and sustainably.
Son La Provincial People's Committee assigned Son La City People's Committee to carry out procedures for inviting and selecting investors to implement the project according to regulations. Actively coordinate with relevant agencies to carry out work contents according to regulations. Preside over the review of all data on current land status and estimated compensation costs, site clearance and number of affected households to be resettled before organizing the selection of investors.
Organize the implementation of site clearance compensation and resettlement support according to regulations. Guide investors to fulfill financial obligations according to regulations. Ensure the implementation of resettlement to carry out site clearance work of the project to stabilize people's lives before implementing the project according to regulations.
Assign the Department of Planning and Investment to carry out the procedures for announcing the project on the national bidding network to organize the selection of investors to implement the project, ensuring compliance with current legal provisions on investment, bidding, land, construction and other relevant legal provisions.
For the Departments of Planning and Investment, Construction, Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Science and Technology, Agriculture and Rural Development, Transport, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Tax Department coordinates with relevant units to determine preliminary requirements on capacity and experience and has preliminary assessment opinions on the capacity and experience of investors who have submitted project implementation registration documents on the national bidding network.
Actively coordinate with relevant agencies and units in the process of implementing project procedures for contents under the management of the industry and locality to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
