For a province with a strong agricultural sector like Son La, livestreaming sales have become an effective tool to attract customers and increase revenue for agricultural products.
According to the Son La Department of Industry and Trade, from 2021 to the present, the Department has coordinated with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy - Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize 9 training courses for businesses and cooperatives on introducing, promoting, and selling agricultural products on social media platforms (TikTok, Zalo, Facebook) and e-commerce platforms in Yen Chau, Moc Chau districts and Son La city. This has helped many cooperatives and farmers access technology, proactively organize livestreaming from their farms, and sell agricultural products quite effectively. Many farmers not only know how to sell products but also share stories about their products and origins, building customer trust in local agricultural products.
Son La organized a training conference to enhance the skills of rural youth in selling OCOP products through digital channels and livestreaming product introductions.

A forum on digital transformation in the communication and promotion of OCOP products by young people was organized with the theme "Exploiting the potential of the digital economy in promoting local OCOP products" for 400 delegates.
Besides providing sales skills training, one of the key initiatives is the district's collaboration with major e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, and Tiki, enabling farmers to list their products on these platforms and reach millions of consumers. Businesses and cooperatives also build their own fan pages to increase their reach.agricultural productsReaching consumers.
Recently, Kien Cuong Cooperative in Phieng Khoai commune, Yen Chau district, organized a livestream to sell Tai Nung plums and pears directly from their orchards. When the cooperative's TikTok account broadcast the live stream, the images of the ripe fruit attracted many customers. In particular, many customers initially thought the Tai Nung pears were from China, but after the cooperative broadcast live images from their 10-hectare orchard, many customers placed orders. Thanks to this, Tai Nung plums and pears, not only from the cooperative but also from many other households in the region, became known to customers everywhere. This year, the cooperative sold over 20 tons of fruit. Currently, the cooperative is also organizing a livestream to sell oranges on social media to reach more customers and encourage orders.
In the coming time, the Son La Department of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with agencies and units to open training courses, directly providing hands-on support to farmers and cooperative members on livestreaming techniques, helping farmers to proficiently use applications and platforms on their phones, master livestreaming techniques, packaging, and online transactions... so that they can become content creators, boost sales, and solve the problem of finding markets for agricultural products.
