The formation of a chain linking the development and production of macadamia in Son La has helped businesses have a stable source of raw materials, bringing high economic efficiency to local people.
Son La strives to have about 5,000 hectares of macadamia trees planted in the whole province by 2025, attracting investment in a macadamia processing factory with scale and capacity to meet the province's macadamia processing needs. By 2030, the whole province will have about 10,000 hectares of macadamia trees planted.
Son La province focuses on developing macadamia trees.
Implementing the province's policy on developing macadamia trees, since 2018, Quynh Nhai district has been chosen as a pilot site for macadamia planting. Coordinate with investment enterprises, support, and link with households to develop raw material areas associated with commitments to consume and process macadamia products.
