The attraction of Muong La tourism brought Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong from Hanoi to Nam Nghep village, Ngoc Chien commune during a trip to the Northwest region, conquering Ta Chi Nhu mountain. Mr. Cuong shared: Ta Chi Nhu mountain peak, the sixth highest in Vietnam, is located in Xa Ho commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, but if you want to climb the beautiful route, you have to go through Nam Nghep village, Ngoc Chien commune. On the way to climb Ta Chi Nhu, I got lost in the white hawthorn forest, then "fell in love" with Nam Nghep village.

In Nam Nghep village, Mr. Cuong met with villagers to talk about tourism; guided the village to establish a Mong flute performance team; opened a coffee shop to welcome guests; made a resting place, a camping site and provided basic services to meet the needs of tourists. At the same time, he set up a Facebook page to promote and introduce information about the village, about the color of hawthorn flowers... In November 2024, Mr. Cuong linked with 8 households to establish Nam Nghep Cooperative, operating in the field of community tourism services; planting, processing and exploiting agricultural, forestry and medicinal products; transportation and environmental services.

Mr. Khanh A Lenh, Nam Nghep village, was instructed by Mr. Cuong on how to do community tourism. He is now the head of the car team that picks up and takes tourists to visit the village and climb Ta Chi Nhu mountain. Mr. Lenh shared: The team has 30 people, mainly young people of the village, mainly transporting tourists from the commune center to visit the village, then taking them to stay at homestays, helping households earn income from tourism activities, improving their material life and making the village greener, cleaner and more beautiful.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hien, a tourist from Quang Ninh province who came to Ngoc Chien for the first time, shared: My friends and I experienced bathing in the hot mineral springs of Luot village, Ngoc Chien commune and conquering the Ta Chi Nhu peak. The landscape here is very beautiful, the people are friendly and hospitable, leaving an impression on us. My friends and I will definitely come back many more times.

Restoring traditional festivals, associated with preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups, Ta Bu commune, Muong La district organized a boat racing festival; Muong Bu commune organized a fruit picking festival, with the theme "Muong La apple"; Muong Trai commune with the Nang Han festival and the Hawthorn flower festival of Ngoc Chien commune... each festival attracts a large number of people and tourists to attend and experience.
