According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - Vice Chairman of Moc Chau Town People's Committee, national relics have been established with management boards, well exploited for their value to serve tourism development, becoming destinations for many tourists, and being included by travel companies in tour schedules and tourist routes when coming to Moc Chau, such as: Bat Cave, Historical Monument of Regiment 52 Tay Tien, Moc Ly Fort Relic... Each year, these relics welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors, generating billions of VND in revenue.
"In connecting tourist attractions, relics, and connecting tourists to historical relics in the area, the first factor is to have synchronous investment in relics, ensuring that they are both historical relics and tourism products, ensuring factors of space, explanation, and other supporting factors, so that tourists feel truly valuable," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa.
Preserving and promoting the values of relics associated with tourism development, Moc Chau not only retains its unique cultural identity
but also opens up new opportunities for the future.
Despite many challenges, preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development is a potential and necessary direction for Moc Chau. Cultural experience tourism programs have been attracting tourists, especially those who want to learn about the cultural identity of ethnic minorities.
Local authorities, together with the coordination of tourism businesses and the community, have been making efforts to build unique, quality tourism products, both serving the entertainment needs of tourists and contributing to the preservation of valuable cultural values.
Historical sites are also "red addresses" for educating revolutionary traditions.
According to Dr. Tong Thanh Binh (Tay Bac University), in order to preserve and promote the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development, in addition to paying attention to planning investment in infrastructure and tourism services, it is necessary to focus on the content of destinations, through specific research to clarify the historical and cultural values of each destination, thereby writing stories so that visitors can understand the value and historical traditions of this land.
Dr. Tong Thanh Binh suggested: "After having stories, we will focus on communication and training tour guides, so that they understand the culture and history of this land, and at the same time use many communication channels to promote to tourists. I think that this is not only the responsibility of those working in tourism, researchers, but all local people also need to equip themselves with knowledge and understanding of local history and culture to spread the good values of the destination from the community."
Moc Chau is not only a dreamy plateau with beautiful landscapes but also a land that preserves valuable historical and cultural heritages. By preserving and promoting the values of relics associated with tourism development, Moc Chau not only retains its unique cultural identity but also opens up new opportunities for the future. That journey will bring sustainable values, contributing to raising the position of Moc Chau on the map of cultural tourism in Vietnam.
